LET BLAME OURSELVES - GHANAIANS
THE ATOMIC EXPLOSION - LET BLAME OURSELVES - GHANAIANS

Tragedy has struck the land of Ghana again and the incident bring on board decisions relating to who to blame and who to solve these incident from occurring again. One thing The Antidote has realized is that there is no one to blame but ourselves as citizens and caretakers of the country we live in.
We need not blame institutions for failure to be responsible because these institutions are made of citizens of the country, our family members, friends etc, and therefore are responsible to put measures in place to safeguard their fellow family members and friends.
Although, there is a number of institutions to mention but a few are the Environmental Protection Agency, Town and Country planning department, Fire services, Ministry of Energy etc, but these incidents keep happening. Therefore you will agree with the Antidote that, it is not about establishing these institutions but rather all Ghanaians will be acting and taking responsibility to end further occurrence of such incident.
We need to educate ourselves as families and friends as well as people who are dwelling in the same country and are responsible for each other. How can we have laws and regulations in place and are not implemented and enforced for the purpose for which they were established and we claim such incident can't occur.
Moreover, we are to blame ourselves because of our negligence in matters of such. The antidote was surprised with the news that an undisclosed citizen journalist predicted the current Atomic junction gas explosion and suggested relocation of lorry station and called on persons in charge of controlling working activities of that area to be proactive in response and no one seemed concerned.
Also the owner of the gas station has made it clear that residents and businesses around the area has several been warned of the danger that comes with staying at the area and they were to relocate from there. Our act of negligence will affect us.
The Antidote expresses condolences to families of the deceased and speedy recovery to the injured. Statistically over 250 death and 1000s of injuries has been recorded since 2004 through to 2017 with the June 3rd been the highest. The Antidote concludes that all citizens need a change of attitude and embrace the responsibility of being caretakers of ourselves. I end by saying that it is time these incidents STOP in Ghana.
